An Indonesian journalist working in online media (Indonesia Satu), Petrus Aloysius Hermanto, was almost killed.
He was beaten by an unknown person in Kampung Kaper, Golo Bilas Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, Saturday (05/30/2020) at 23.40 Wita.
Information received by the Sidikkasus.co.id News Agency revealed that Petrus Aloysius Hermanto was beaten by a strapping man into a drainage pit.
Before the perpetrators fled, the perpetrators cruelly hit Petrus Aloysius Hermanto into pulp and shouted that Petrus Aloysius Hermanto was a journalist who often wrote news about the corona virus.
As a result of the incident, Petrus Aloysius Hermanto suffered head to toe injuries.
When contacted by telephone, Petrus Aloysius Hermanto explained that the incident occurred at around 11:45 at night.
At that time, he was in Kaper, Golo Bilas Village to attend the cancellation of the family wedding.
The perpetrator suddenly arrived without and immediately attacked Petrus Aloysius Hermanto and kicked the victim until he fell into the water channel.

The perpetrator is suspected of having the initials FR who is suspected of being a resident of Gaper Bilas Kaper Village. Peter claimed that he had no time to fight when the perpetrators kicked and beat him.
After beating Peter, the FR perpetrators immediately fled.

Mabar Police Chief AKBP Handoyo Santoso, when contacted revealed, the Investigation and Criminal Unit had begun an investigation.
The police will call reporters and witnesses.
“The victim has made a report at the police station and we will immediately follow up on the report.
“I have ordered the Criminal Investigation Unit to immediately follow up on the victim’s report,” Santoso said.
